Cascadia GBC: Disaster Resilent Project
The Cascadia Green Building Council publishes a magazine called Trim Tab. In their January issue, they have two articles about disaster resilient design, called "In Search of Transformation: Merging Sustainability and Resilience for the Brock Environmental Center" and "Moving Forward: Observations in the Wake of Hurricane Sandy."

USGBC Anounces 6th Round of Public Comment for LEED v4
USGBC has announced a sixth comment period on its proposed LEED v4, focusing on the Materials & Resources credits.

SEAOC Call for Abstracts
The Structural Engineers Association of California (SEAOC) is making a call for abstracts of structural engineering research and projects to be presented at their annual convention.

Abstracts are requested for papers to be presented at the technical sessions of the 2013 SEAOC Convention.
We encourage submissions on recent projects, best design practices, new seismic systems and components, next generation codes, advanced analysis techniques, high-performance materials, sustainable design,and results of recent experimental testing.
Abstracts of not more than 250words are due by 5 pm February 25, 2013, and should be sent via e-mail to the 2013SEAOC Convention Technical Program Committee at the contact information provided below. Authors will be notified of abstract acceptance by April5, 2013. Papers must be submitted for publication in the proceedings by 5 pm June 10,2013. Authors will be provided with required guidelines regarding paper format after acceptance of abstract.
